A ribbon cutting was held Monday, Oct. 28 at the Dailey Method, 16315 Monterey Road, Suite 100, Morgan Hill.  The Dailey Method is a new gym/ballet barre studio owned by Desiree Stemberga. The Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education discussed a plethora of topics during two recent regular meetings held Jan. 30 and Feb. 6. Trustees tackled such topics as bargaining unit negotiations, approving up to $18,200 for a study comparing the salaries and benefits of GUSD's management employees to that of other districts with similar demographics, and finding a way to fund the naming of a building after legendary Gilroy music director Phil Robb.

Morgan Hill residents will no longer be seeing a surcharge on their water bills for perchlorate cleanup - a monthly charge that some years climbed as high as 15 percent of each customer’s water usage invoice.

With too many wrestlers approaching their 40 match limit, Gilroy was only able to send three to the Mission San Jose Tournament Friday and Saturday in Fremont.

Despite last minute changes to its schedule, the Gavilan softball team came out on top. 

Princess is a 5-year-old lilac point Siamese mix. Possibly being blind in one eye, she is special needs and would be best in a home with no young children. Lisa Faria was recognized and awarded a certificate of appreciate by the Gilroy City Council for her service on the Public Arts Committee. Lisa was a member of the committee from Jan. 1, 2007- Dec. 31, 2013.
