Texas Hold ‘Em tourney on tap
Team registration is now being accepted at the Gilroy Recreation Department for the eighth annual Super Showdown Texas Hold 'Em Tournament on Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Gilroy Senior Center.
Soccer: Sharks girls capture division title
The PAC San Jose Sharks, a girls soccer team with players from Gilroy, went 9-0-0 in the 11-and-under Silver Region 2 standings to win its division title this season. The team outscored its opponents, 42-4 in the nine matches.
Sidewalk coming soon
In just a few short weeks, Christopher High School students will have their long-awaited sidewalk on Santa Teresa Boulevard's east side, which will allow for safe southbound walking after school, and northbound on the way to school.
CHS hosts Zumba fundraiser
Christopher High School 's Parent Club is sponsoring a Zumba fundraising event Jan. 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the high school's main gym where participants can kick start their new year's fitness routine and help raise money for the school.
