Local Salvation Army short on toys
The Salvation Army of Gilroy is making a desperate plea for help this holiday season for their annual toy drive. They plan to assist nearly 1,000 children this Christmas, but as of Thursday’s count they will not have enough presents for next week's distribution unless the community can step up to fill the gap.

The Gilroy and Christopher High School Choirs will present their winter concerts at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and 19 at the GHS Student Center, located on campus at 750 West 10th Street. For the finale song, “Hallelujah Chorus,” Choral Director Phil Robb expects about 250 students and returning alumni to participate.
