Celebrating 100 years of Gilroy High
Gilroy High School will have its cake and eat it, too, when it celebrates its 100th birthday during a party next week with all the trappings.

What inspires you? I feel that my biggest inspiration is being able to look back at something that you have accomplished and feel a sense of pride. It's good to take pride in your work; it pushes you to do your best and to try to do something great with your time.

High school is already an emotional roller coaster. For Christopher High School graduate Ashanti Clayton, moving from Bakersfield to Gilroy at the end of her sophomore year piled on the additional stresses of getting settled in a different school and establishing a new social circle.
