150901~Cut police and fire and Gilroy could repair sidewalks and
more—Dear Editor,
When we moved to Gilroy in the ’60s, Gilroy’s population was
around 8,0000 people. We had a fire department, police department,
excellent library and our streets were cleaned by the city.
I total agree. The city of Gilroy should seriously consider contracted with County Fire. County Fire could possible provide a higher level of fire protection services to our city. The Gilroy Fire may even benefit. County Fire I believe offers 3 at 50. There would definately be advancement possiblities for Gilroy Fire. In conclusion the City of Gilroy should look into contrating with County Fire.
