Kurt Gitmed launched a two-run home run in the top of the Soup seventh inning to snap a 14-14 tie. Eddie Yanez added three insurance markers with a two-out homer.
Rudy Maquinalez homered and Fausto Padilla went 3-for-3 for the 3-0 Soup. Ralph Ortiz and Joel Vaca each mustered three hits for 1-2 Victory Outreach.
Dan Keith Septics moved to 1-1 with a 21-6 decision over the Plunderers. Bill Hudnall stroked a single and two doubles, scoring three Septic runs. Rich Furtado and Brian Christianson each collected three hits for Dan Keith Septics. Jeff Stuck hit a two-run single and Gilbert Tovar singled and doubled for the Plunderers.
Bay Sheets rallied from a 5-1 deficit to stop the Chippendales 6-5. Polo Solorio went 3-for-3 and Serafin Mancera drilled two doubles and scored two runs for Bay Sheets. Frank Crue hit a two-run double in a five-run third for Victory Outreach.
Krazy Koyote-Dutchman’s Pizza maintained a one-half game lead in the Co-Rec B League standings Sunday with a 19-9 victory over Gaeta’s Taqueria at Las Animas.
Evertt Wallace, Bobby Garcia and K.C. Adams each homered for 2-0 Koyote-Pizza. Wallace went 3-for-4. Chris Adame hit two homers in a 4-for-5 effort for Gatea’s, while Matt Piedmont doubled and homered.
Feather Haven Mill scored eight runs in the seventh inning to complete a 16-2 win over Dutchman’s Pizza-Big Kahunas. John DeCarlo Jr. homered in a 4-for-5 showing and Sany Fortino went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for the winners. Danny Benz went 3-for-4 for Dutchman’s-Big Kahunas.
