I fully agree with your editorial. Apparently the Gilroy
firefighters only think of themselves. All they can think about is
ME, ME, ME and let the town raise taxes if they want to have safe
sidewalks, recreation programs, decent parks where children can
safely play, etc.

I fully agree with your editorial. Apparently the Gilroy firefighters only think of themselves. All they can think about is ME, ME, ME and let the town raise taxes if they want to have safe sidewalks, recreation programs, decent parks where children can safely play, etc.
I agree with the editorial board, too, in that we need to consider outsourcing the firefighting responsibilities.
The firefighters are way out of line with their demands, and an outside vendor could provide this service with the same quality but would be more cost effective.
