Patsy Marie Katen, 39, passed away in Gilroy on Aug. 10, 2003.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Vieira of Gilroy, and her father, Richard Katen, of San Jose. Patsy was the sister of Richard Katen of Gilroy and Robert Katen of Stevensville, Montana and granddaughter of Ed and Dorothy Mosby of San Martin. She is the Aunt of Coleman Katen, Carson Katen and Jade Katen; the Niece of Robert Vieira, Leonard Katen, William Katen, Virgie Katen and Christine Dezell. Her uncle Art Vieira preceded her in death. She was a loyal friend two her two dogs Duke Thomas and Cottontail.
Patsy attended South Valley Community Church and was employed at Wal-Mart in Gilroy.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at South Valley Community Church. Visitation will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home on Friday beginning at noon. Graveside services will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery Saturday at 10 a.m. where she will be buried with her grandfather, Joseph Vieira. Family would appreciate donations to the Patsy Katen Memorial Trust, c/o South Valley National Bank, 8000 Santa Teresa Blvd., Gilroy, CA 95020 in her memory.
