Gilroy Browns go down fighting in tough loss as back scores two

EAST COUNTY – The Gilroy Browns midget football team lost a tough game to East County.
The local gridmen maintained the lead until the final minutes of the game when East County was able to put together a final drive to take the lead.
In spited of the unfavorable result, running back Mike Perez – in his first game back – rushed for more than 100 yards and scored both of the Gilroy touchdowns.
The Midgets next game will be against Coyote Creek at 4 p.m. on Saturday at South Valley Junior High.
