teams at the school, ended their season as champions, taking a
Division A first place in the Silicon Valley Athletic League (SVAL)
championships held recently.
Watsonville – Mount Madonna School’s Blue Hawks, one of two girls volleyball teams at the school, ended their season as champions, taking a Division A first place in the Silicon Valley Athletic League (SVAL) championships held recently. The Blue Hawks players are seventh and eighth graders. The Gold Hawks, Mount Madonna’s fifth and sixth grade team, finished second in SVAL Division C.
Blue Hawk team members are: Danielle Quinn, Elizabeth Burk, Emma Petersen, Kahiko Dudoit, Michaela Schuessler, Soma Sharan, and Susanne Bryan, 7th grade; Anneka Lettunich, Brittany Lovato, Erin Mitchell, Haley Turner, Kayla Cytron-Thaler, and Mara Getz, 8th grade.
Gold Hawk team members are: Johnna Hamilton, 4th grade; Aimee Hopkins, Lilli Carlsen, and Sanika Lakka, 5th grade; Alida Lettunich, Blythe Collier, Kellyn Cardinal, and McKenzie Caborn, 6th grade.
“We believe that they can all be great players,” commented Sidd McDonald, Mount Madonna’s Athletic Director. “We just have to give them the opportunity.”
