Family feud
Oh, the humanity.
Shocking all things garlic, Papa Garcia – on his rapid rise to first place in our contest – picked against his own son last week. Philly was just too good, he reasoned. Jeff was just too banged up.
As it turns out, his pick was indeed correct – but barely. And it did cost him. Citing the panel’s rarely-enforced loyalty rule, commissioner Edgerton has suspended Bobby for a week … without pay. Picking in his place this week will be someone who believed in the Browns all along, their quarterback.
Jeff, back in town this weekend because of Cleveland’s bye, was more than happy to take his father’s spot. And for you legal types, Commissioner Edgerton already cleared this with Commissioner Tagliabue. No worries. Only one Garcia will experience suspension.
