The Players opened the three-game Playoff Night with an 8-5 win over No Soup 4 You, then used the same score to topple Chris Costello Electric in the finals.

The Players struck for four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to erase a 5-2 No Soup lead. Gary Barboa and Danny Granados each doubled and scored in the Players sixth frame to complete the scoring.

Jason Luna went 3-for-3 and Ralph Ortiz homered, doubled and singled for No Soup 4 You.

Steve Lemberger went 4-for-4 to lift Chris Costello Electric past Yerena Trucking 14-2 in the second semi-final. Mark Madalena hit a home run and two singles for the Electricians. Javier Zamora, Jesus Diaz and Alejandro Yerena each mustered two singles for Yerena Trucking.

Barboa hit a solo home run in the fourth inning as the Players claimed a 4-0 cushion over Chris Costello Electric. Danny Contreras and Johnny Burns drove in Player runs in the fifth for a 6-1 lead. Chris Costello Electric rallied for four runs in the sixth, keyed by a Madalena homer. Blue Torralba hit a two-run double in the Players for the 8-5 victory.

Roy Escudero went 3-for-3 for the champions.

The Dirty Dozen captured two wins Friday to take the Men’s Fall D League title at Las Animas.

Pete Quintanar homered to complete a 17-2 Dirty Dozen win over Dr. Tile in the opener. Joel Garcia hit a double and two singles for the winners. Dave Keim Sr. and Bruce Hanna scored the Dr. Tile runs.

Lozano’s Let Me Hit It gained a finals berth with a 17-11 nod over Stop Snitching. Greg Gonzalez and Isaiah Gonzalez each went 4-for-4 for Lozano’s. Alex Rojas went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Stop.

Art Garcia went 3-for-3 to lead the Dirty Dozen past Lozano’s 12-8 in the Playoff Night Championship game. Michael Garcia and Jeff Elliott each cracked a two-run single for the Dozen. Leroy Martinez went 3-for-3 for Lozano’s.

Team Whaaat needed two one-run decisions to earn the Men’s Fall CC League title Friday at Christmas Hill Park.

Singles by Toby Reyes and Gabe Hernandez in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Whaaat a 9-8 squeaker over Los Gigantes in the semi-final. Rob Flores stroked three hits and Hernandez homered for the winners. Nick Franco went 3-for-4 for Los Gigantes.

Team Pipe-Net rallied past C&R Communications 13-8 behind four hits from Steve Torres. Chuck Flores drove in three C&R runs.

E. J. Mendoza and Hernandez hit run-scoring hits in the top of the seventh inning to give Team Whaaat a 19-18 win over Team Pipe-Net. Jose Mendoza ripped a home run and two triples for the champions. Danny Hinojos and Torres each collected three hits and scored four runs for Team Pipe-Net.
