This week, police responded to burglaries, domestic assaults and petty theft. Here are a few events that stood out:

FELON WITH GUN IN BACKPACK

Christopher Haygood, 30 of Morgan Hill, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. for being a felon allegedly in possession of a firearm. Gilroy Police officers made contact with him on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue, and found he had a warrant for his arrest. They searched his backpack and allegedly found a firearm. He was taken to Santa Clara County Jail.

PEEPER AT THE OUTLETS

An unknown male suspect poked his head under her bathroom stall in the women’s restroom at the Gilroy Premium Outlets at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 4. The suspect fled the scene when the victim caught him looking at her. 

MAN THROWS BEER AT STORE MANAGER

William Reisert, a 23-year-old Gilroy transient, was arrested on Nov. 1 at 3:07 p.m. when, after he was warned to leave by staff at Safeway on First Street, he allegedly threw a full 24 ounce can of beer at the manager.
