Gilroy police arrests

Open container

n Alberto Barajas Santillan, 44, transient, 12:36 p.m. Thursday, at 8850 San Ysidro Ave. on a warrant for violating Gilroy’s open container law.

Fraud

n A man made a purchase at Safeway, 905 First St., with a counterfeit $100 bill, 7:52 a.m. Wednesday.

Auto burglary

n A wallet was stolen from an unlocked silver 2003 Chevy pickup parked outside 842 Padova Drive, between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Thursday.

n Christian music CDs valued at $150, a stereo valued at $200 and two drills valued at $244 were stolen from a 1990 Honda Accord parked outside 935 Third Ave. between 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

Residential burglary

n A washing machine was stolen from a vacant house at 8349 Gaunt Ave., 6:39 p.m. Thursday. The suspect or suspects broke the window of the rear door and entered through the door.
