The Gilroy Police Department made arrests for a variety of crimes between late-June and early-July, from felony arson to exhibition of a deadly weapon and grand theft. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between June 22 and July 6.
Arson
• Gilroy man, 33, July 5 at 4:54 a.m. in the area of Lewis Street and Murray Avenue for felony arson, felony threats to commit a crime, felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant and vandalism with damages $400 or less.
Assault with a deadly weapon
• Gilroy man, 35, June 25 at 7:22 p.m. on the 7500 block of Rogers Lane for one felony charge.
• Gilroy man, 51, June 30 at 10:50 a.m. on the 8100 block of Swanston Lane for one felony charge and felony threats to commit a crime resulting in grievous bodily harm or death.
• San Jose man, 26, July 1 at 1:49 a.m. near the crossing of U.S. 101 and Monterey Road for one felony charge and felony threats to commit a crime resulting in injury or death.
• Watsonville man, 32, July 3 at 11:37 p.m. on the 7100 block of Monterey Street for one felony charge.
• Watsonville man, 36, July 3 at 11:37 p.m. on the 7100 block of Monterey Street for one felony charge.
• Gilroy man, 20, July 4 at 8:08 p.m. near the intersection of Princevalle Street and Fairview Drive for one felony charge, petty theft and resisting, delaying or obstructing police.
• Gilroy man, 30, July 4 at 11:07 p.m. on the 600 block of E. Seventh Street for one felony charge.
Battery
• Gilroy woman, 21, July 2 at 2:08 a.m. on the 8100 block of Monterey Street for one misdemeanor charge and being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
Domestic violence
• Man with no listed address, 25, July 1 at 12:19 a.m. near the intersection of Farrell and Wren avenues for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant, violation of a protective order in domestic violence case, preventing the use of a cell phone to summon authorities and felony re-arrest for probation violation,
• Gilroy woman, 52, July 6 at 7:44 p.m. on the 8000 block of Swanston Lane for inflicting bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant, threatening to commit a crime resulting in death, violation of a court order in a domestic violence case and resisting, delaying or obstructing police.
Driving violations
• Gilroy man, 39, June 26 at 3:41 p.m. on the 400 block of Elm Street for driving with privileges suspended or revoked and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility.
• Gilroy man, 30, June 29 at 5:05 p.m. at the Gilroy Police Department for driving with privileges suspended or revoked and disobeying a sign.
• San Jose man, 38, July 2 at 1:51 p.m. near the intersection of Travel Park Circle and Monterey Street for driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
Drug possession
• Gilroy woman, 48, June 23 at 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Hanna Street and El Cerrito Way for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Gilroy man, 26, July 1 at 4:20 p.m. on the 5800 block of Monterey Street for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
• Watsonville man, 34, July 5 at 2:46 a.m. near the intersection of Lewis Street and Rogers Lane for two misdemeanor charges.
• San Jose man, 35, July 5 at 10:51 p.m. on the 300 block of Welburn Avenue for four misdemeanor charges and use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
DUI
• Gilroy man, 25, June 23 at 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Murray Avenue for driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher, hit and run and driving on a suspended license.
• Rio Linda man, 35, July 2 at 9:21 p.m. on an undisclosed portion of Monterey Street for an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence.
Entering school unlawfully
• Gilroy man, 47, June 24 at 3:52 p.m. at Christopher High School for unlawful entry into a school building.
Exhibiting a deadly weapon
• Gilroy woman, 23, June 26 at 10:49 p.m. on the 5900 block of Travel Park Circle for one misdemeanor charge.
Grand theft
• Gilroy woman, 23, July 2 at 4:43 p.m. on the 8100 block of Forest Street for felony grand theft, felony second-degree burglary and felony assault.
Illegal lodging
• Gilroy man, 59, June 28 at 10:53 p.m. on the 100 block of Sarafina Way for lodging without the consent of property owners.
Marijuana charges
• Morgan Hill man, 28, July 3 at 8:37 p.m. on the 7500 block of Alexander Street for felony possession of marijuana or hash for sale.
• Gilroy man, 48, July 3 at 5:42 p.m. near the intersection of IOOF Avenue and Forest Street for possession of marijuana and being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
