Felon in possession of a firearm

Adriana Garcia, 20, of the 14200 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin, 10:22 p.m. Thursday, outside 820 Carignane Drive, for possession for more than an ounce of marijuana, being a felon in possession of a firearm, trying to evade a peace officer, reckless driving and taking a vehicle without the owner’s permission.

Probation violation

Charletta Fairer, 38, of Morgan Hill, 10:05 a.m. Friday, near the intersection of Orchard and Plymouth drives.

Grand theft

Mario Munoz, 23, of the 7800 block of Church Street, 8:40 p.m. Thursday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on warrants for driving without a license, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, grand theft and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Possession of stolen property

Ngoc Nguyen, 51, of the 700 block of Vinca Court, 2:50 p.m. Friday, at 8282 Murray Avenue for possession of stolen property.

Francisco Oyao, 60, of the 8200 block of Murray Avenue, 2:50 p.m. Friday, at his residence for possession of stolen property.

Under influence of controlled substance

Christopher Upchurch, 53, transient, 2:40 p.m. Friday, at 797 First St. for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Driving without a license

Enrique Hernandez, 24, of the 6000 block of Frazier Lake Road, 9:46 p.m. Friday, on an undisclosed address on Eigleberry Street for driving without a license and delaying or resisting a peace officer.

Leaving the scene of an accident

Misappropriation of property

Melissa Raquel Martinez, 24, of Hollister, 6:36 p.m. Saturday, near the intersection Carmel Street and Welburn Avenue for driving without a license, using false registration tags, possession of a controlled substance and misappropriation of property.

Attempted murder

Eluid Hidalgo, 29, of the 700 block of Maria Way, 10:14 p.m. Saturday, at his residence for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated mayhem and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Public intoxication

Manuel Guevarra, 36, transient, 4:28 p.m. Sunday, on the 7200 block of Monterey Street.

Petty theft with priors

Victoria Lynn Rodriguez, 39, of the 500 block of IOOF Avenue, 4:58 p.m. Saturday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Parole violation

Eleazar Rodriguez, 36, of Santa Clara, 8:38 a.m. Saturday, between Ninth and Church streets for parole violation, resisting or delaying a peace officer, and giving false identification to a peace officer.

Carrying a concealed weapon

A juvenile, whose name and address police withheld because he or she is a juvenile, 5:20 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Forest and East Sixth streets for carrying a knife and concealing a weapon. Police did not disclose the juvenile’s age or sex.

Other GPD incidents

Auto burglary

Twenty CDs were stolen from a 2006 Nissan Armada parked of Trimble Court, between 3 p.m. Saturday and 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

Carpet installation tools were stolen from a vehicle parked near the intersection of Hirasaki Avenue and Longmeadow Drive, between 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday. Another vehicle was also burglarized on this street during the same time period. Both vehicles had a front window smashed.

A stereo faceplate was stolen from a Ford Explorer parked on the 8300 block of Kern Avenue, between 10 a.m. Jan. 29 and 3:30 p.m. Friday. The suspect or suspects broke the rear driver-side window to get into the car.

A leather briefcase, a small leather bag, books, maps and manuals were stolen from a 2006 Toyota Highlander parked on the 2300 block of Sunflower Circle, between 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects broke the rear passenger-side window to get into the car.

Bike theft

A Haro bicycle with 18-inch wheels, total value estimated at $300, was stolen from the 700 block of Fifth Street, about 4 p.m. Friday.

Grand theft

A 10-foot section of copper pipe was cut and stolen from Gabby’s Taqueria, 8295 Monterey St., between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Two copper pipes were stolen from an air conditioning unit at 66 First St., between 3 p.m. Jan. 17 and 9:30 a.m. Friday.
