A burglar or burglars entered a home on Periwinkle Drive while
the residents were sleeping and stole a 56-inch television valued
at $2,498.67, a Toshiba laptop valued at $757.74, eight bottles of
wine valued at $160, a Motorola Razr cell phone valued at $153.09,
an electric steel string guitar valued at $1,000, an acoustic
guitar valued at $200, a guitar tuner valued at $20, a Yamaha
keyboard with stand valued at $500, and a wallet with credit cards
and $75 cash, between 12:01 and 6 a.m. Sept. 8.
Robbery

A black adult female took an unknown amount of women’s lingerie and a purse from Wal-Mart. The suspect struggled with store security but was released when the officer received threats from nine to 10 individuals who were with the suspect, 10:20 p.m. Sept. 7. The suspect fled in a 1999 Chevrolet.

Recovered vehicle

Police recovered a stolen white 1994 Chevrolet on Swanston Lane, 9:41 a.m. Sept. 7.

Petty theft

A thief or thieves stole a black purse with a wallet containing $135 and credit and identification cards after a woman forgot it in a store on East 10th Street, 1:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

A thief or thieves entered a fenced yard on Rossi Lane and stole a stereo from an unlocked delivery truck, between Sept. 5 and 8.

Residential burglary

A burglar or burglars entered an open garage on Cypress Court and stole a First National Bank checkbook and a Sony digital camera valued at $300 from an unlocked silver 2009 Volkswagen, 6:24 p.m. Sept. 7.

Grand theft

A thief or thieves stole four plant pots valued at $600 from the backyard of a Galloway Court home, between Aug. 1 and 10.

A thief or thieves gained access to the rear fenced area of a business on Kishimura Drive by cutting the padlock and stole an 80-gallon air compressor valued at $1,500, between 6 p.m. Sept. 6 and 8 a.m. Sept. 7.

A thief or thieves stole a Phil & Ted’s vibe stroller with doubles attachment from Princevalle Street, between Aug. 30 and Sept. 7.

Missing juveniles

Two juveniles were returned to their foster home on Montebello Drive, 10:09 p.m. Wednesday.

Auto burglary

A burglar or burglars used an unknown object to break the right front passenger side window of a gray 2005 Nissan on Princevalle Street and took a pair of keys from the glove compartment, 3:41 p.m. Sept. 8.

A burglar or burglars entered a locked tan 1993 Honda Accord on Camino Arroyo and took a driver’s license, vehicle registration and a box of Lays potato chips valued at $10, between 4:10 and 5:15 p.m. Sept. 8.

A burglar or burglars smashed the driver’s side window of a red 1995 Ford on Monterey Street, and took a woman’s wallet with $10 cash, a black JanSport backpack with glasses, a book and a knife valued at $12, a green iPod Shuffle valued at $50, and a purple Nintendo Game Boy valued at $20, between 8:50 and 10:45 p.m. Sept. 8.

Animal issues

A sick cat was reported on Church Street, 8:17 a.m. Sept. 8.

Threat

A threat was reported on Amber Court, 8:07 a.m. Sept. 8.

Animal bite

An unknown person was bit by a dog on Fifth Street, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 7.

Fraud

A female approached an elderly male and asked for help in cashing the winning lottery ticket, 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8. The male suspect offered to assist and drove the victim to the residence to pick up his debit card to withdraw $10,000. The victim was not able to obtain the debit card and the suspects left.
