Gilroy police are seeking several suspects believed to be
involved in a stabbing at Christmas Hill Park
The Gilroy Police Department is looking for several suspects believed to be involved in a possible gang-related stabbing Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., the GPD responded to a fight near the area of the amphitheater in Christmas Hill Park. While responding units were en route, the reporting party advised all parties were leaving in vehicles, according to a GPD press release.
Officers arrived on scene and determined involved parties had left the area, police said.
A short time later, officers were dispatched to Saint Louise Hospital after a report of a victim suffering from nonlife threatening injuries, according to the GPD.
Officers investigated and determined the incident was related from the previous fight call.
The victim reported several subjects approached him while he was getting into his vehicle, according to police. During the fight, he was assaulted and stabbed, police said.
According to the GPD, the victim said one of the suspects was a Hispanic male adult between the age 18-20 years old.
This case is being investigated by the GPD’s Anti-Crime Team as a possible gang crime.
