Police are looking for two unidentified suspects who allegedly stole cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes during an armed robbery of a Morgan Hill convenience store late early Thursday morning.Â
Morgan Hill police responded to the 7-Eleven store, 295 West Main Ave., about 2 a.m. Thursday morning in response to a report of an armed robbery, according to Morgan Hill Police Sgt. Troy Hoefling.Â
When officers arrived, they learned that two unknown male suspects entered the store wearing ski masks and confronted the store clerk, who was the only other person in the store at the time, Hoefling said.Â
One of the suspects was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and the other carried a small metal bat, police said. Both were wearing dark clothing, gloves and ski masks that concealed their faces.Â
The robbers stole an undisclosed amount of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes, and then fled the area on foot, Hoefling said.Â
The suspects did not hurt the store clerk, according to police.Â
The suspects were last seen on West Main Avenue, Hoefling said.Â
The incident was captured on security video surveillance footage from inside the store, police said.Â
Morgan Hill Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the two armed robbery suspects, Hoefling said.Â
