Running back Brandon Bumaniag carries the ball behind a strong block en route to his second touchdown of the Gilroy Browns game against Daly City Nov. 9 in Salinas. The Browns went on to win 39-26.

SALINAS — The Gilroy Browns are in familiar territory — they’re headed to the League Championship game for the fourth straight year.
The Browns junior midget football team advanced to the championship by topping the No. 1 seeded Daly City 39-26 Saturday at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas.
Gilroy’s defense was stellar, holding the Falcons to just one score after three quarters of play.
Browns’ quarterback Sean White led the offense, connecting with receivers Jacob Beardsley and John Levis for a touchdown each. Gilroy’s rushing attack dominated the contest, led by it’s pair of hard-nose running backs in Brandon Bumanlag and Noah Laine.
The win advances the Browns to the championship game where they will face the Brentwood Falcons. Brentwood is coming off a shutout victory, 24-0, over Campbell last week.
The league champion will advance to the National Championships, held at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Sports Complex in Orlando in early December.
Gilroy and Brentwood will square off at 6 p.m. Saturday at Andrew Hill Stadium in San Jose.
