The Christopher boys soccer team evened the score with San Benito Tuesday.
The Cougars avenged their earlier loss to the Balers with a 2-0 shutout at home. San Benito topped CHS in their first meeting 3-1 on Jan. 9. 
The Cougars were led by Hibsen Tamayo-Davila who scored both goals in the contest. 
Christopher (3-7-5 overall, 2-2-4 in league) will be back in action at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at North Salinas. 
Jimenez leads GHS past ‘Catz
Andres Jimenez is Gilroy’s leading scorer for a reason.
The hot-footed Jimenez scored twice in the Mustangs’ 2-1 win over Watsonville Tuesday at home. He has 24 goals this season. 
Jimenez also scored twice in Gilroy’s 6-0 win over Christopher on Jan. 31. Alejandros Flores and Luis Urias also scored twice in that game.

PREP BASKETBALL
Cougars play like pros at Oracle
The Christopher boys basketball team got a taste of how the pros live, taking on Tokay High at the Oracle Arena in Oakland Tuesday.
The Cougars trailed 25-21 at the half, but Tokay outscored them by six in third to take a hold on the lead.
Shane Suttles led the team with 12 points — including a 3-point bucket. Evan Shapiro added seven.
Christopher will host San Benito at 7 p.m. Friday.
PREP FOOTBALL
Moen named to All-State Juniors 3rd Team 
Christopher linebacker Jacob Moen is one of California’s finest.
The junior was named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Juniors Third Team Monday. 
Moen led the Monterey Bay League with 162 tackles for the Cougars this season.
