The Gilroy boys and girls swim team secured a clean sweep of all events in a Thursday dual meet with North Salinas.
Michelle Shields posted two Central Coast Section qualifying times clocking 25.6 seconds in the 50-meter free and 55.9 in the 100 free, giving her the fastest time in the Tri-County Athletic League this season.
The boys 400 free relay team of Jacob Abruzzini, Brian Pribyl, Michael Shields and Eddie Malick also swam to a CCS qualifying time.
Pribyl qualified for the 200 individual medley earlier in the season, and Malick is also in the CCS field in the 50 free, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.
The boys 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams (Abruzzini, Malick, Pribyl and Zack Kendrick) have also earned spots in the CCS tournament which is next month.
“The boys team is small but strong,” swim coach Tom Clark said.
Both the boys and girls team have only dropped one dual meet thus far this season.
“This is the best and largest girls team we have had in a long time,” Clark added.
