For the third time in as many games the Christopher boys soccer team walked away with a tie.
The Cougars tied 1-1 with Monte Vista Christian Tuesday on the road.
Christopher’s goal came in the 76th minute, but stats were not available by presstime.
The Cougars (1-5-5 overall, 0-1-4 in league) hosted Seaside Thursday. Results from this game can be found at gilroydispatch.com/sports.
GHS ties with PV
Amdres Jimenez scored his 18th goal of the season Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Gilroy boys soccer team past Pajaro Valley.
The Mustangs settled for a 2-2 tie, putting them at 7-1-2 overall, 2-1-1 in league play.
Luis Urias opened the scoring for Gilroy in the second, tying the game at 1-1 at that point. Jimenez followed suit to give the Mustangs the lead, but PV was able to answer for the tie.
Gilroy played at Everett Alvarez Thursday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MVC drops CHS
The Monte Vista Christian defense proved too much for the Christopher girls basketball team Tuesday night.
The Cougars fell 48-34 on the road, dropping to 7-8 overall on the season and 2-2 in league play.
The Cougars fell behind early after being held to just 13 points in the first half and weren’t able to overcome the deficit.

Christopher hosted Salinas Thursday night.
