TENNIS: Alisal sweeps doubles play in 5-2 win over Christopher

In it’s last two games, the Christopher softball team has outscored its opponents 26-5.
The Cougars show no signs of slowing down as they cruised to a 12-2 win over Watsonville in five innings at home Wednesday.
Christopher had 11 hits in the game, three of which belonged to Morgan England. She had two doubles and five RBIs in the game. Pati Soria also had three hits, including a triple and three RBIs.
Brook Loesch had two hits.
Mack Holt went the distance, allowing four hits while striking out one.
Christopher will break until traveling to Salinas to take on the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
BOYS GOLF
Cougars net best score of season
The Christopher boys golf team carded its lowest score of the season, 220, at the the Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division match at San Juan Oaks Tuesday.
Tyson Hill and Jeff Driggs both scored a 39 on the day, helping the Cougars to a fourth place finish. Jaeshawn Hoenck shot a 42, while RJ Montez carded a 44 with an eagle on the par 5 11th hole. Chad Hartman shot a 56.
San Benito, the host team, won the match with a 188, followed by Palma at 200 and Salinas in third with 212. Monte Vista Christian took third at 236 and Alvarez was sixth with a 297.
Christopher will take on MVC and Watsonville at home at 3 p.m. today.
