Prep Roundup: March 3

The Gilroy boys golf team kicked off league play with an impressive second place finish. 
The Mustangs carded a 266 as a team, just behind Alvarez which scored a 251. North Monterey County was third with 268 points, Alisal fourth with 295, North Salinas fifth with 318 and Watsonville sixth with no score.
Magnus Myhr again led Gilroy, shooting a 45. Avery Trevino was close behind with a 48 and Nick Triolo scored a 51. Desmon Hernandez shot a 58, while Alex Bakita a 64 and Alex Green a 66.
Gilroy will be back on the course at 3 p.m. March 10 when it hosts its Monterey Bay League-Pacific opponents at Eagle Ridge.
