Gilroy's Jackie Andrade works to make a pass as Burlingame looks to block during their Central Coast Section quarterfinal game Saturday.

Christopher’s Vanessa Koontz and Gilroy’s Alejandra Aceves were both stellar at their respective positions and were honored for their efforts.
Aceves was named the Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division Goalie of the Year, while the hot-footed Koontz was named Offensive Player of the Year. Koontz was also named First Team All-League while Aceves was named Honorable Mention All-League.
Christopher’s Emma Morley was named Co-Senior of the Year and was given First Team All-League honors along with Gilroy’s Samantha Gonzales who was named Co-Sophomore of the Year. Gonzales shares the honor with four others including Christopher’s Jamie Boutee who was named Second Team All-League.
Gilroy’s Chelsea Robles and Christopher’s Zidant Okere were named Co-Rookies of the Year and were both named to the Honorable Mention team. Robles also earned Co-Freshman of the Year honors.
Connie Contreras of the Mustangs was named Co-Midfielder of the Year and was named to the Honorable Mention team.
Gilroy’s Jackie Andrade and Christopher’s Gina Rodriguez were named Second Team All-League. Nadine Vargas, Cassidy Lawrence along with Christopher’s Cata Martin, Vangie McNamara and Natalie Fillipi were named to the Honorable Mention team.
Jackie Gomez, Gilroy, and Erin Mank of Christopher were named to the Sportsmanship Team.
