difference if they spent 100 times more of our money to tell their
big lies?

Regarding VTA’s proposal to spend $7.7 million tax dollars on a public relations blitzkrieg to “polish its image'” and the High-Speed Rail Association’s proposed $50 million PR blitzkrieg to sell bullet train to voters, would it make any difference if they spent 100 times more of our money to tell their big lies?
What will they say: Adam Smith was wrong, Karl Marx was right, the Founders were misled by capitalism and should have worshiped Marxist-Leninist socialism-communism the way our radical socialists do. Will they tell us the only the experts at the Marx-Engels-Lenin-Trotsky-Stalin-Diridon-Gage Ministry of Truth know truth in transportation. Yeah, right: Part of every trip you take, part of every tax and fee we pay, a big chunk of each tank you fill, mortgage payment you pay, and sales taxes is gouged by Black Hole Government – and they’re not satisfied. They want more as their deficits mount.
Their financials don’t conform to generally accepted accounting principles, so they lie to the public about the magnitude of their hemmoraging. Will millions for “PR” fix it? Like masters of the galley ship, they are demanding more strokes from the slaves on the rowing deck. County Supervisor Don Gage and Rod Diridon can pay public relations firms billions and trillions of our dollars, but they’ll never succeed in converting their socialist systems America needs or wants, or that our children and grandchildren can sustain. Painting the roses red is not what we need.
It’s time to remove the malignant tumor, not put glossy make-up on it. Enough PR baloney. Just say “no” to more socialist transit.
