Real estate company achieves quick growth

independently owned, full service real estate company – announces
that Susan Murphey Patereau, her partner Rick Patereau, and Chris
Blum recently changed company affiliations to join Intero Gilroy,
located at 751 First Street.

GILROY – Intero Real Estate Services – a locally operated and independently owned, full service real estate company – announces that Susan Murphey Patereau, her partner Rick Patereau, and Chris Blum recently changed company affiliations to join Intero Gilroy, located at 751 First Street.

The company announced that it has broken the 200 agent mark in only its seventh month of operations.

Intero Real Estate Services opened its first office, Intero Morgan Hill, in October of 2002. In the ensuing seven months, Intero offices have sprouted up in Gilroy, Hollister, San Jose, Cupertino, Los Gatos and Los Altos.

This progress has generated great interest from local realtors, with many top producers subsequently joining Intero, attracted by the company1s vision and agent-friendly atmosphere. As part of its commitment to the client by way of retaining top agents, Intero provides to its agents access to state-of-the-art technology, spectacular offices and supportive, mentoring leadership.

“The fact that we have gained so many top agents in this short period of time is indicative of our commitment to hiring the best agents and giving them the tools they need to do their best work,” said Gino Blefari, president and CEO of Intero. “We feel there is an important correlation between empowering agents and providing the best customer service in the industry.”

Ms. Murphey Patereau and Mr. Patereau are Realtor members of the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors and the South County Realtor Association. They are also members of the National Association of Realtors, and the California Association of Realtors. They have both been members of the Gilroy Rotary Club for many years, as well as the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Murphey Patereau began her real estate career in 2001, while Mr. Patereau started in 2002.

Ms. Murphey Patereau1s background includes a 15-year career at Gavilan College, where she was Director of the Community Education Department and involved in the Small Business Development Center for many years. Mr. Patereau1s background includes 25 years in construction equipment sales and rentals.

In her career spanning more than six years, Blum has consistently been a top producer, averaging sales in excess of $1 million annually. Ms. Blum is a member of the Santa Clara Association of Realtors, South County Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the California Association of Realtors. Prior to selling real estate, Ms. Blum worked as a legal secretary for real estate attorneys.

Ms. Blum supports the local community by volunteering for several organizations such as the Gilroy Garlic Festival and the Taste of Morgan Hill. She enjoys traveling, playing golf, and attending sporting events. She and her daughter Meghan have made Gilroy their home for more than 15 years.

“Chris has extensive knowledge of our area, and we’re extremely pleased to have her as a member of our team,” Gilroy manager Jerry Kiss said. “Whether helping a family relocate, assisting a first time buyer or managing a multi-million dollar transaction, Chris goes that extra mile to make sure that our client’s needs are met.”
