Services will be on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 1:00 P.M., at The Hollister United Methodist Church, 5th and Monterey Streets. A reception will follow the services at the church hall.  Rebecca was born in Rochester, PA on September 28, 1937 to Roy Robert and Bell Mann Rhodes.
 They moved to Freedom, PA, where her father was Postmaster. They then moved to Upper Darby a suburb of Philadelphia.
 During World War II, the Navy sent them to Treasure Island in San Francisco. They lived in San Francisco for six years. In 1951, they moved to San Rafael.
 Rebecca went to San Rafael H. S. & College of Marin. In 1956, she married Duane Dotson and had three sons: Russ, Jim and Charles.
 Russ’ wife is Michele Krone, Jim is married to Claudia. Jim has two daughters: Sara-Belle with daughter, Amelia and Kathleen with son, Joshua. Charles has two sons: Chase and Mitch.
 Rebecca married Fred Schmitka in 1991 in Maui, HI and Moved to Hollister, CA to retire in 2000.
 Rebecca was a bookkeeper most of her working life. She was active in the Hollister United Methodist Church, and as a volunteer with Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was a member of the San Benito County Republican Women.
 She died at age 77 due to complications with Pancreatic Cancer.
 Bunnie thanks everyone who has been so kind and thoughtful to her. She especially wants to thank the VNA Hospice and the medical staff at El Camino Cancer Center. She also wants to thank her church family for their prayers and thoughtfulness.
