Nick Langone hit a three-point field goal at the buzzer Wednesday to lift Shoot It & Boot It past Silicon Valley Retirement Group in Men’s DD Basketball League play at Solorsano Gymnasium.

The win kept Shoot It in first-half title consideration with a 4-1 record in the Gilroy Community Services Department program.

Shoot it raced to a 24-17 halftime lead but lost leading scorer Ron Colman to personal fouls late in the second half. Hans Mendonca poured in 11 second-half points to give Silicon Valley a 45-43 edge, setting up the Langone heroics.

Colman paced the winners with 14 points, Lamont Chappell adding 12 to the cause. Darwin Collins popped in 13 points, Mark Taylan 10 for Silicon Valley.

Morgan Hill Garage Door (5-0) needed three overtimes to remain unbeaten in DD play with a 64-58 nod over the Warriors.

Mike Vanni scored 18 of his 20 points after halftime to keep the Warriors in position for the upset. Adolfo Tellez Tellez registered 14 of his 16 Warrior points in the first half.

Alexis Rivas anchored the Morgan Hill Garage Door offense with a 33-point effort. Danny Rodriguez netted 18 Door points.

Stray Dawgs reached 3-2 with a 51-23 decision over IKON Office Solutions.

Robert Rodriguez hit for 16 points, Mike Kachel 15, to help the Dawgs. Aaron Martinez led the IKON offense with eight points.

Jiffy Lube reached 5-0 in the Men’s D standings Monday at Solorsano Gym with a 57-53 squeaker over the Sonics.

Neil Garrett tossed in 30 points and Cliff Dennett hit for 15 to pace the Jiffy Lube attack.

Jiffy Lube trailed 24-20 at halftime. Jose Gallegos scored 18 points, Matt Wendt 15 and Marc Connolly 11 points for the Sonics.

Hard Ninety turned back the Free Agents 101-70 behind 26 points from Josh Bleem.

Each of the six Hard Ninety shooters reached double figures. Vince Mitre turned six 3-pointers into 18 points. Frank Tomasetti was good for 17 points, Destry Jones and Mark Cisneros 14 apiece. Tucker Baksa added 12 Ninety points.

Edgar Velazquez exploded for 23 points, Ramon Bassi 21 for the Agents. Simon Mohammed posted 14 points, Ken Binder 12 for the Agents.
