Kenny Hopf and Gil Salgado each singled and scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Franco Imports past the Borrachos 8-7 in the Men’s Fall DD Softball League opener Tuesday at Las Animas Park.
Armando Uribe keyed the Borrachos offense with a triple and two singles, scoring three runs. Noe DeLaTorre’s RBI-single plated Uribe to give the Borrachos a 7-6 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
Tim Graves went 4-for-4 and scored four runs to propel Walton & Sons Masonry past Prime Exterminators 22-6.
Chris Wong homered and Matt Lappen went 3-for-3 for the winners. Izzy Vasquez homered and Scott LeBlanc lined a two-run single for Prime.
Abel Martinez and Leroy Martinez each produced five hits to lead Louie & the Outlaws past Gilroy VFW Vets 25-12.
Andrew Mokres added a triple, double and two singles to the Outlaws offense. Chris Hernandez scored three runs and Mike Montenegro hit a triple, double and single for the VFW Vets.
Corey’s Girls opened the Women’s Fall campaign with an 11-10 squeaker over Station 55 Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park.
Leslie Minor hit two singles as Corey’s struck for eight runs in the third inning. Angelica Garcia went 4-for-4 for the Girls. Treena Burbank provided three hits for Station 55.
Kalai Kraze turned back Pops’ Gals 15-10 as Malina Tarrasco went 3-for-3. Irene Rivera went 2-for-2 and scored twice for Kalai Kraze. Maureen Hughes went 3-for-4 and scored three Pops’ Gals runs.
Feather Haven upset Dirty Vatos 22-11 Wednesday at Las Animas in the Men’s Fall D League opener.
Aaron Parker stroked two home runs, a double and single for Feather Haven. Eric Keen added a homer, double and two singles. Edgar Polanco went 3-for-3 and Raul Salgado scored three runs for the losers.
AG Construction struck for seven runs in the sixth inning to pull out a 9-8 win over Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors. Luis Garcia’s three-run triple keyed the rally. Aaron Muro went 4-for-5 for Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors.
The Players/HD Auto Glass defeated the Battle Brothers 14-8. Mike Radcliff went 4-for-4 for the Players. Joe Cano homered and Brian Fialkowsky went 3-for-3 for the Battle Brothers.
