GILROY—The 2014 Fall Softball Program concludes play this week with Playoff Night action in four leagues.
Two of the six leagues sponsored by the Gilroy Recreation Department completed action last week.
The Tuesday Men’s E League title went to All of a Sudden after an 11-10 comeback win over the Bash Brothers in eight innings. Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh, Sudden drew even when Rick Trujillo doubled and scored on a Louie Catano sacrifice fly. After the Bash Brothers took a 10-9 lead on a Taylor Micali RBI single, Sudden put together four consecutive one-out hits to earn the championship.
The B-2 Bombers won twice on Playoff Night  to take the Women’s title Wednesday. After a 7-1 regular season, the Bombers defeated Corey’s Girls 18-7 and Pops’ Gals 19-8 in the playoffs.
The Co-Rec League has a Monday Playoff Night at Las Animas Veterans Park. Cal Silk, the regular season champion, plays En Tu Cara at 6:30 p.m. Anritsu and the Navigators play at 7:40 p.m., with the two winners meeting at 8:50 p.m. for the title.
Christmas Hill Park hosts the Thursday Men’s EE Playoff Night. The Sweepers play Claddagh at 6:30 p.m., the Unfits and Baker Pump competing at 7:40 p.m..
The Thursday Men’s E League opens Playoff Night at Las Animas with R&M Transport facing Trevino Brothers Construction at 6:30 p.m. Anritsu and OMG play the 7:40 p.m. contest.
The Friday EE League at Las Animas features Gil’s Warriors opposite Under Construction at 6:30 p.m.. Recology and Aztecas play at 7:40 p.m.
