Cindy Lujan singled and scored on a walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Los Pollos Hermanos a 14-13 victory over Team Rush in a key Co-Rec Fall Softball League contest at Las Animas Park.
Carrie Fosdick produced three hits to guide the Hermanos offense. The win earned Hermanos (4-1) a share of first place with Team TF with three games left in the regular season. Tyler Osbourne and Leroy Martinez each homered for 3-2 Team Rush.
Hi-Energy Networks moved into a tie for fourth place at 2-3 with a 12-9 squeaker over Almost There. Laura Cole went 3 for 3 and scored four runs for Hi-Energy. Merritt Billington added a solo home run. Jordan Jimenez went 4 for 4 for Almost There.
Extreme Air snapped a three-game losing streak in the Men’s Thursday E action with a 13-6 nod over the Gilroy VFW Vets at Christmas Hill Park.
Wade Jacobson hit a three-run home run and John Ashford plated two Air runs with a double and single. Oscar Montenegro went 3 for 3 for the VFW Vets.
Rob Silvia went 3 for 3 and scored three runs to lift Trevino Brothers Construction (2-2) past the Lost Boyz 15-10. Eddie Vargas, Tucker Baksa and Tyler Osbourne hit Lost Boyz homers in the fifth inning.
The Heathans, paced by Danny Rubalcava’s 5 for 5 showing, moved to 2-1 with a 17-5 verdict over VFW Bingo (2-2). Neo Torres went 4 for 5 and scored three Heathan runs. Juan Zavala went 3 for 3 for VFW Bingo.
Claddagh built a 9-1 lead and held on to top R&M Transportation 15-14 in Thursday Men’s EE play.
Kevin Bellanger went 4 for 4 and Matt Figone 3 for 3 as the game left both clubs at 4-1. Clay Eslick and Julian Toscano hit R&M home runs. Nick Robinson tripled and doubled for the losers.
