GILROY – Station 55 shocked Mountain Mike’s Pizza 12-5 Wednesday in a Women’s Softball League showdown at Christmas Hill Park.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Station 55, while Mountain Mike’s dropped to 3-1 into a tie for first place with All 4 Seasons Pet Services.
Station 55 pushed across five runs in the top of the third to take a 6-0 lead. Diana Lujan lined a two-run single and Nicole Martinez added an RBI-single in the rally.
Mountain Mike’s responded with four in the third, keyed by a run-scoring double from Liz Adams. Jenna Dougherty’s RBI-single in the fourth concluded the Pizza scoring.
Lujan took game batting honors with a 4-for-4 effort. Adams and Dougherty each managed three hits.
All 4 Seasons Pet Services trimmed Garza Sisters & Friends 5-3 behind Margene Peterson’s 3-for-3 performance.
Peterson singled and scored on sister Maureen Hughes’ double in the first inning. Hughes ignited a three-run rally in the fourth with a single, then scored the final Pet Services run in the sixth.
Leslie Miner went 3-for-4 and scored twice for Garza Sisters & Friends.
Team Wicked moved to 4-0 in Men’s CC action with a 19-8 decision over RSW Racing.
RSW Racing built a 7-5 lead after three innings, paced by a two-run double and RBI-single from Raul Monroy. Team Wicked struck for four runs in the fourth for a 9-7 lead. Pablo Perez tripled and Sat Regalado and Toby Reyes each doubled in the comeback.
Regalado went 4-for-4 and Perez and Elias Madrid each homered for the winners. Monroy finished at 3-for-3.
Carlos Del Real hit two home runs and AJ Martinez went 3-for-3 to ignite 4-0 Taqueria Del Sol to a 16-1 win over Lugo Motors. Thomas Woods doubled and singled for Lugo.
Anritsu upset Weapons of Mass Seduction 20-12 behind three extra-base hits by Bobby Lopez. Cary O’Neal, Andrew Ornelas and Ray Avena each mustered three hits and scored three runs for Anritsu. Eric Nelson drove in three Weapons runs with a homer, double and single.
NorCal Regulators improved to 3-0 in Co-Rec B League play Tuesday with a 21-6 victory over JR’s Crew.
Julian Rodriguez went 4-for-5 for the Regulators. Cel Capulin scored five runs and Daniel Sandoval plated four Regulator runs with three singles. Cherise Martinez each 2-for-2 and Clint Miner stroked two doubled for JR’s Crew.
The Hustlers moved to 2-1 with an 11-9 rally past Gamers In Control. Consecutive RBI-singles by Eric Gebhardt, Ami Perez, Zeke Lopez and Megan Delgado keyed a five-run fourth for the Gamers. The Hustlers erased the 7-4 deficit with four runs in the fifth.
Matias Franco collected three doubles for the Hustlers. Delgado paced the Gamers with three hits.
