The Borrachos maintained a one-game game lead in the second-half Men’s EE Softball League pennant chase Thursday with a 9-5 decision over Claddagh Brew Crew at Christmas Hill Park.
Vic Arciniega hit a two-run home run to highlight a five-run third for the Borrachos. Rafael Flores lined a two-run single as the Borrachos added three runs in the sixth inning.
John Gonzalez went 3-for-3 for the winners. Walter Margetich went 3-for-3 and Greg Sosebee homered and tripled for Claddagh.
The Good Ole Boys and ACP played to an 18-18 tie after eight innings. Kris Puthoff homered and Robie Kramer and Bobby Rose added four each apiece for the Good Ole Boys. Ray Cordova homered and David Vera and Steve Facio each drilled four hits for ACP.

Bike Center turned back Family Affair 10-6 by scoring four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Adam Salas keyed the Bike rally with a two-run home run. Willie Niffenegger added a Bike Center home run. Aaron Parker and Abel Martinez each tripled and singled for Family Affair.
The Titans edged past New Hope Community Church 13-12 Thursday to leave both teams at 2-1 atop the Men’s E League.
Trailing 7-6 after six, New Hope pushed across six runs in the top of the seventh. Matt Elam, good for a home run and two doubles in the first six frames, added an RBI-triple in the New Hope seventh.
The Titans responded with a four-run seventh, capped by Paul Brummitt’s RBI-single. Vance Lee helped the Titans offense with two doubles.
Trevino Brothers moved to 2-1 with a 24-9 victory over No Soup 4 You. Steve Murnin hit a grand slam, Chase Locsin a three-run shot for the Builders. Jimmy Castaneda tripled and singled for No Soup.
Walton & Sons Masonry advanced to 2-1 by trimming Weapons of Mass Seduction 16-13. Geoff Graves and Jake Wischmann powered Walton & Sons homers. Jordan Racz (4-for-4) and Ben Hemeon hit Weapons home runs.
