“Hello, I was wondering if you could find out when Gilroy High is going to fix their sign on the corner of 10th and Princevalle. Right now it just flashes bright red, green and orange. It gets in your eyes at night. It has been like that for weeks.”
Â
Red Phone: Dear Carnival At GHS, School administrators haven’t been able to figure out what is wrong with the marquee. After running a self test on the sign, they still weren’t able to diagnose the problem, said Principal Marco Sanchez. The sign was turned off Thursday morning, he said. He wasn’t sure what else could be done but said they would keep trying to find a way to get it working again.

Where to take drugs to
“Red Phone, I heard there was a national Prescription Drug Take-Back Day last week, but didn’t hear of any local places to bring old and unused medication. Can you tell us if there are any places in South County? Thanks.”

Red Phone: Dear Medicated, Yes there are two local spots. You can bring old and unused medication year-round to the front lobby of the Valley Health Center at Gilroy Pharmacy, 7475 Camino Arroyo, Gilroy, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday; and to the South County Sub-Station, 80 W. Highland Ave. Building K, San Martin, Call 686-3650 for hours.
Good caller, hope that helps.
