Red Phone: Low branches need to be cut

I was wondering what Fourth of July events are going on this
weekend. Is there going to be a parade in Gilroy? I haven’t seen
anything about it. Also what events are going on in the Bay
Area?

“Dear What’s Up, There is a fireworks show at Gilroy High School at on Sunday at dusk – around 9 p.m. You’ll want to get there early as the area fills up quickly. While there is not a parade in Gilroy this year, there is one in Morgan Hill. Sponsored by the Morgan Hill Independence Day Inc., the 116th Fourth of July parade begins at 11 a.m. on Monterey Road near Fourth Street and circles around Main, Peak and Dunne Avenues.

There are also other activities in Morgan Hill like the patriotic sing at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Britton Auditorium followed by a street dance downtown. On Sunday, there will be food, entertainment and music at Community Park beginning at 4 p.m. before the fireworks begin.

For more events around the Bay Area see Chuck Flagg’s column or Hot Ticket. If you have any suggests of other places, feel free to leave them in the comments before.
