The Royals made a successful debut in the Gilroy Community Services Department’s adult softball program Wednesday with a 19-18 win in eight innings over the Loco Boys in Men’s Fall D play at Las Animas Park.
Jeff DiDomenico singled and scored on a John Shaver sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth to earn the Royals the decision. Shaver and Pat McGuire each delivered four hits and Dave Flores and Mario Maciel slapped home runs.
Alex Pena went 5-for-5 with a homer, Frank Leonard went 4-for-4 with a homer and Elias Madrid produced a homer and two doubles for the 1-1 Loco Boys.
Los Pistoleros remained in first place in the seven-team circuit at 2-0 with an 18-3 nod over the Bomb Squad. Joel Lopez went 4-for-4, Art Tomasetti 3-for-4 for the winners. George Espinoza stroked a triple and single for the Bomb Squad.
Feather Haven is 1-1 after a 17-6 victory over Gilroy Screen Printing.
Brett Scott socked a two-run home run and Phillip Alosi went 5-for-5 for the winners. Joaquin Chacon homered and Rudy Maquinalez scored twice for Gilroy Screen Printing.
Gamers In Control reached 2-0 in Men’s D play Tuesday by stopping the Hit Men 23-7.
Gus Salinas went 4-for-4 and Joel Robinson homered for the Gamers. Doug Weaver went 3-for-4 and Russ Chagnon and David Wright each scored two Hit Men runs.
Cencal Auto Body eased past the 1-1 Titans 17-2 behind four hits from Isaac Seymour. Chris Peckham scored four Cencal runs. Vance Lee homered for the Titans.
Blackout is 1-1 after a 22-10 decision over Pacific Coast Bail Bonds. Rudy Rodriguez, Chris Velador and Mark Pineda each went 4-for-4 for Blackout. Rodney Clore homered and doubled for Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.
C&R Communications trimmed DS Builders 13-10 Monday to improve to 2-0 in Men’s C play.
Chris Bowles and David Sotelo each lashed three hits to anchor the C&R offense. Justin Nicholson, Kyle Kretz and BJ Collum each homered for DS Builders.
Lawrence Espinoza went 4-for-4 and Jay Gonzalez and Mark Vegas each homered to help Lozano’s Dirty Ghetto Boys past VFW Vets 12-11. Joe Cano went 2-for-3 and drove in three VFW Vets runs.
Joe Pereira’s RBI-single in the bottom of the seventh inning handed Tax Systems an 8-7 win over Most Wanted. Pereira went 3-for-4 and Joe Valdivia drove in two runs for Tax Systems. Eddie Adame and Matt Piedmont each went 3-for-4 for Most Wanted.
