Rita Lorraine Mello Passed away Saturday afternoon at the age of 79 at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. She was born and lived in Hollister all her life. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Along with being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she had been a school bus driver for many years for Tiffany Ford Motor Co.
Rita is survived by her husband, Henry J. Mello of Hollister, her children, Bruce Mello of Hollister, Daughter, Lavonne BrightonWells, husband, Jeff, of Pacific Grove and daughter, Melissa Altamirano of El Segundo,CA., daughter-in-law, Kim Mello, grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Sara, Matthew, Caden, Keely and Noah. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren and 2 nephews, Albert Orozco and Alfred Altamirano both of Hollister. A niece Susie Pederson of Sacramento.
Friends may visit at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson funeral Home on Thursday, March 18th, from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. The funeral services will begin on Friday morning from the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and proceed to Sacred Heart church, 5th and College Streets, for a funeral Mass commencing at 10 A.M. Graveside services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
