Rita M. Owen, age 61, passed away Friday, March 14, 2003. She
was a native of New York.
Rita M. Owen, age 61, passed away Friday, March 14, 2003. She was a native of New York.
Mrs. Owen was a long-time Gilroy resident and employee of the Santa Clara County Health Department for 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was loved by many. She will be missed by all whose lives she has touched.
She was a loving mother and devoted friend to many. She is the mother of Maureen Fredrickson of Morgan Hill, Denise Owen of Gilroy and Patricia Owen of Gilroy; grandmother of Matthew Langley of Morgan Hill, Tyler Rochester of Napa, Shayla Holbrook of Gilroy and J.C. Castaneda of Gilroy; sister of Eileen Camillone of Connecticut, Joan Brennan of New York and the late Eugene Hurley and Connie Hurley; and loving friend of John Devencenzi of San Jose.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Gilroy.
Arrangements under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
