PREP ROUNDUP: CHS volleyball upends GHS

Robert Driscal went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored two runs to lead Christopher High’s baseball team to a 10-7 home win over Monterey on Tuesday.

Ralphy Ortega was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Cougars, who improved to 2-2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division. Ryan Fredricks and Sean Corral drove in two runs each for Christopher.

Winning pitcher Brian Ransom threw six innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits, two walks and one hit batter with six strikeouts.

SOFTBALL

Gilroy improved to 3-0 overall with a 19-8 win at Live Oak on Tuesday.
