Russel M. Miller Jr. passed away in Gilroy suddenly Dec. 22.
Miller is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary L. Miller of Gilroy, his daughter, Linda Hyer of Gilroy and his grandchildren, Dustin Hyer, Melissa Hyer and Andrew Hyer, all of Gilroy. He also is survived his five sisters, Betty Groom, Mary Lou Simpson, Darlene Thornton, Sue Whitford and Jeanette Wornstaff, his two brothers Richard Miller and David Miller, all of Portland, and many nieces and nephews. He was a native of Mitchell, Neb., was raised in Portland, and spent his adult life in California, moving to Gilroy in 1988. He was a truck driver for 50 years and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Private cremation service will be held under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
