Born in Missouri, she lived in Gilroy of many years and moved to Hollister 17 years ago. She was a member of the Gilroy First Presbyterian Church, Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary and past president, PEO, Daughters of the American Revolution, Children’s Home Society and American Field Service.

She enjoyed knitting caps for newborns at Hazel Hawkins Hospital with her affiliation with the auxiliary. She worked for years for John Klarich and also for the Presbyterian Church in Gilroy. She and her husband, Bob, were married in 1946 in Salinas.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Taylor of Hollister; two children and their spouses, Janet and Gary Perreira of Bakersfield and Larry and Jeanne Taylor of White House, Ohio; sister, Martha Waters of Huntington Beach; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Gilroy First Presbyterian Church on Santa Teresa Boulevard. The Rev. Bruce Rowlison will officiate.

A reception will follow the services at the church hall. Private family inurement is planned.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society or Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary c/o Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 7th St. Hollister, CA 95023.

Arrangements are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
