San Jose – Rashied Davis led the San Jose SaberCats past the Grand Rapids Rampage 72-48 Friday night at the HP Pavilion in San Jose.

Davis opened the scoring for San Jose with a 50-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the opening minute of the game. The running back had another TD run from 50 yards out in the game and wound up scoring four times on the night.

He was named Player of the Game for the SaberCats.

San Jose took the lead for good in the first quarter when Ryan Fernandez caught a 20-yard TD pass from Nick Rolovich, catching the ball at the five and breezing into the end zone untouched, to make it 14-7.

The SaberCats are now 4-3 in the Arena Football League. San Jose next faces Las Vegas away on Monday, March 28. The SaberCats’ next home game is Sunday, April 3 at 6pm against the Arizona Rattlers.
