Piano students in recital
Students of Laurie Avery’s Piano Studio performed for family and friends in their summer recital on June 7. Works by composers like Gillock, Diabelli, Czerny, Gurlitt, J.S. Bach, Clementi and Beethoven were performed.
Melinda Tanner
Melinda Tanner of Morgan Hill has graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. More than 3,300 undergraduate and graduate students received degrees at the university’s 132nd commencement exercises held May 19. The Rev. William P. Leahy, SJ, 25th president of Boston College, presented the degrees.
Dustin Vertin
Dustin Vertin has made the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Dubuque in Iowa.
He is the son of Gregory and Leslie Vertin of Morgan Hill and attended Live Oak High School.
