David Crumrine
David Crumrine, of Gilroy, is currently serving in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from Fort Campbell, Ky. A chemical engineer specialist, Crumrine is a 1995 Gilroy High School graduate and is the son of Sue and Dan Crumrine of Gilroy.
Josh Morrow
Josh Morrow, son of Teena Penninger of Aromas and Jim Morrow of Cleburne, Texas has graduated from Marine Corps. boot camp in Oceanside, Calif. He will be stationed in Pensecola Fla., for a year. Morrow is the grandson of Richard and Loretta Morrow of Gilroy.
Andrea Walton
Andrea ‘Andee’ Walton, who graduated from San Benito High School in 2004, is in her second year at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., and is majoring in economics/business. Last month, Walton was awarded a three year scholarship to continue her education at VMI. Walton was the commanding officer of the N.J.R.O.T.C. at SBHS. she is the daughter of Karol Roy of Hollister.
Ashley P. Wise
Ashley P. Wise, daughter of Lori and Dane Whitehead of San Juan Bautista, has completed U.S. Navy basic training in Great Lakes, Ill. Wise is a 2004 graduate of Anzar High School.

Air Force Airman Jessie L. Grace has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Grace is the son of Hollister resident Jeri Grace.
Rick Badillo
Navy Petty Officer First Class Rick. G Badillo, son of Gloria and Richard Badillo on San Martin, has been mobilized and sent to Kuwait and Iraq to support the Global War on Terrorism. Badillo is a 1988 graduate of Sonora High School in Sonora and joined the Navy in 1987.

Picha-Buller
Elena Rose Picha, daughter of Robert and Linda Picha of Hollister, and John Ryan Buller are engaged to me married.
Picha, is a new producer for KUSI Channel 9 in San Diego, and Buller is in pharmaceutical sales. the couple was engaged in Del Mar on Aug. 2 and plan to wed in August of next year.
Buller is the son of John and Jean Buller of Dundee, Ore.

Kara Brem, daughter of Judi and Larry Brem of Gilroy, married Shylo Steinhal of Santa Cruz on Oct. 8.
The ceremony was held at the Monarch Cove Inn in Capitola. Kara’s daughter, Kiah Leigh Brem Frame, was her maid of honor and Steinhal’s best man was his brother Trevor. The couple plans to honeymoon in Barbados.

Omid Bakhtar
Omid Bakhtar, of Gilroy, has been accepted into Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and will be part of the graduating class of 2009. The son of Ali and Zarrin Bakhtar, Omid is a 2000 graduate of Monte Vista Christian High School.
