ANNIVERSARY: Marianos celebrate 50 years: Mrs. Barbara A. Mariano (Barry) and Mr. Domi T. Mariano will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 15.
The couple, who live in Morgan Hill, have two children, Patti Gustafson of Morgan Hill and David Mariano of San Martin, and two grandchildren.

Shaunie Tylar Hewell
Shaunie Tylar Hewell made the Dean’s List for the fall semester at San Diego State University. Shaunie is a sociology major with a 3.8 GPA.
Shaunie is the daughter of Sabrina and Mark Hewell and a graduate of Gilroy High School.
Ariel Mosbrucker
Ariel Mosbrucker, of Morgan Hill, was among 14,800 Purdue University students who earned academic honors for the fall 2012 semester. To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade point average on a four-point scale.
Joel Rueda
Joel Rueda, of Morgan Hill, has been accepted to attend Union College for the fall semester of 2013.
Located in Barbouville, Ky., Union College offers an educational experience where students receive personal attention to help make their educational experience successful. At Union, the average professor-to-student ratio is 14:1, so students can expect small class sizes and close interactions with instructors. Union is a four-year liberal arts school related to the United Methodist Church.

Chantelle Nicole Dolbin and Christopher Stephen Russell are engaged to be married.
Chantelle, daughter of Bradley and LaNae Dolbin of Detroit, Mich., graduated from Newbury Park High School in 2011.
Christopher, son of Stephen and DeLisa Russell of Hollister, graduated from San Benito High School in 2009.
The couple is planning a July 20, 2013 wedding at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Los Angeles Temple.
Rocha/Thome
Sara Rocha and Nathan Thome are engaged to be married.
Sara, daughter of Dave and Sue Rocha of Hollister, graduated from San Benito High School in 2004, the University of California Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Westcoast University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at Lucille Packard’s Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
Nathan, son of Jerry and Denise Thome of Hollister, graduated from San Benito High School in 2005 and the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He is an architect at Hornberger & Worstell in San Francisco.
The couple is planning a May 26, 2013 wedding.
