Raul Mancera

HONORS: Raul Mancera: Cadet Raul Mancera, Alpha Co., 9th Reg. from Campbell University (9th Reg. Honor Graduate), graduated from the 2013 Leader Development and Assessment Course at Watkins Field on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
Mancera was recognized as the one of the top overall cadets.
The ceremony capped off 29 days of leadership-infused training designed to develop each cadet’s leadership abilities through a sequentially organized training schedule that incorporated the basic necessary skills to become an effective military leader.
The leadership course is one of the final steps for cadets prior to completing the ROTC program and entering the Army as commissioned officers. Cadets that were not commissioned during the ceremony are scheduled to return to their ROTC programs to finish out the commissioning requirements.
Corey Martin
Corey Martin, of San Martin, made the academic dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a spring 2013 grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Kayla Loving, of Gilroy, made the academic dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a spring 2013 grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Danielle DeStefano
Danielle DeStefano, from Morgan Hill, was named to the dean’s list at Villanova University for the 2012-13 academic year. DeStefano is studying nursing. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5. The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.
