HONORS: Noemi Naranjo: Noemi Naranjo was named Gavilan College’s Employee of the Month for November 2011. Noemi is a part-time program services specialist in the Public Information Department. She started with the district in 2007.

Noemi’s activities include graphic design, event coordination, volunteer coordination, publicity and more. She coordinates Gavilan College’s presence at both Taste of Morgan Hill and the San Benito County Fair. She makes arrangements with the communities, makes sure equipment is in place and recruits and schedules volunteers. She also coordinates attendance for the Children’s Theater production in late fall.

With the devastating loss of Cindy Starr this year, Noemi also found herself with extra projects to complete. Many people on campus are not aware of the number of pieces she designs and produces.

People who worked with Noemi have commented on her easy-going manner, calm demeanor and high-quality work. Noemi is always ready to learn something new and pitch in where needed. To support the “Good Morning Gavilan” show on GavTV, Noemi learned how to be a “CG” operator, and has produced onscreen slides for that show and operated CG for several years.
