Douglas Skow, has announced her engagement to Robert Rohrer, Jr.,
son of Dale Bulaski of Chesapeake, Va. and Robert Rohrer Sr., of
Paso Robles.

Skow/Rohrer

Kelly Skow, daughter of Patricia Skow of Hollister and the late Douglas Skow, has announced her engagement to Robert Rohrer, Jr., son of Dale Bulaski of Chesapeake, Va. and Robert Rohrer Sr., of Paso Robles.

Kelly was born and raised in Hollister and graduated from San Benito High School before relocating to Paso Robles 18 years ago. She helps out at her future father-in-law’s business.

Robert is a third generation native of Paso Robles and graduated from Paso Robles High School. He has been a part of his family’s business, Rohrer Hay and Feed/Cattle, his entire life.

The couple will exchange vows Sept. 10 in San Juan Bautista. After honeymooning in Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and Reno, the couple will make Paso Robles their home.

HONORS

Stephanie Wan

Stephanie Wan, of Morgan Hill, was named to Tufts University’s dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester. Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Sidney Caldwell

Sidney Caldwell, of Gilroy, has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College. Some 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students received degrees at the University’s 135th Commencement Exercises, held on May 23 in Alumni Stadium on the Boston College campus in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Nina Baio

Nina Baio, of Morgan Hill, was listed on the 2011 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Portland. She is a junior studying social work.

Ryan Coates

Ryan Coates has graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in media and communication. He is a 2005 graduate of San Benito High School and a 2009 graduate of UC Davis.

Ryan is the son of Bill and Nancy Coates, of Hollister.

Mary Thatcher

Mary Thatcher, of Morgan Hill, was listed on the 2011 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Portland. She is a freshman studying secondary education.

Romualdo Belo

Navy Chief Petty Officer Romualdo P. Belo, a 1988 graduate of Live Oak High School, recently completed a 10-month shipyard availability aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.

USS Mobile Bay is the second guided missile cruiser to undergo the most comprehensive upgrade and modernization program in Navy history. During that time the crew endured an extensive yard period that included the modernization of weapons and combat systems. Directly following the yard period, the crew charged through a series of sea trials and qualifications in preparation for deployment.

Belo joined the Navy in June 1989.

Erica J. Margetich

Erica Jo Margetich, a graduate of Live Oak High School in 2006, received her bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from San Jose State University, on May 28. She currently resides in San Martin.

Erica is the daughter of Walter Margetich and Diane Silveira of Morgan Hill.

Charles Proctor

Charles N. Proctor, of San Martin, recently received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Boston University.

Colleen Tanaka

At their regional conference last month, the Trustees of the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation voted to award a George Zeiss Memorial Scholarship to Colleen Tanaka from Gilroy. Colleen graduated from Gilroy High School and will attend Saint Mary’s College in the fall. She is interested in pursuing a career with the FBI. Her father, Kenneth Tanaka, is a 2007 graduate of the FBI National Academy and is currently a lieutenant with the San Jose Police Department.

Nicolyna M. Enriquez

Nicolyna M. Enriquez, a member of the class of 2011 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean’s list for her outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2010-11 year.

Enriquez, the daughter of Philip Enriquez and Marian Sacco of Morgan Hill, is majoring in art history.

Christian Rouldan

Christian Rouldan, of Morgan Hill, has recently been named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the spring semester.

Justin Roorda

Justin Roorda, of Morgan Hill, has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College. Chelsea Hofmann

Chelsea Hofmann, of Morgan Hill, was listed on the 2011 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Portland. She is a sophomore studying nursing.
